Camden's civic Remembrance service is at St Pancras Church, then wreaths at the Euston war memorial. Last year's times, Hampstead's service and what to expect.
Remembrance Sunday 2026 is on 8 November. Camden’s main civic event has for years been a service at St Pancras Church on Euston Road, followed by a short procession to lay wreaths at the railway war memorial in front of Euston station just before 11am. The council has not published its 2026 programme yet. It put out last year’s on 6 November 2025, so expect this year’s in the first week of November.
The quick answer
- Sunday 8 November 2026, with Armistice Day on Wednesday 11 November.
- Civic service: St Pancras Church, Euston Road, NW1 2BA. In 2024 it began at 10am, with wreaths at the Euston memorial at 10.55am.
- In Hampstead, the parish church lays a wreath at the war memorial outside its gates after its 10.30am service.
The council’s programme, and what it looked like in 2024
The fullest programme the council has published is its 2024 Remembrance schedule. It ran over five days. On Remembrance Sunday, 10 November 2024:

The Mayor then laid wreaths across the borough on Armistice Day, Monday 11 November 2024:

Earlier that week there were wreath layings at the Camden and Islington war memorials in St Pancras Cemetery, East Finchley (Thursday 7 November, 10.30am) and at Euston station (Friday 8 November, 1.45pm).
What happened in 2025
The council’s 2025 notice, published on 6 November 2025, was shorter. It said the Mayor, Councillor Eddie Hanson, and the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Tricia Leman, would attend a Service of Remembrance and lay wreaths around the borough, including at the Euston station memorial and the POW WWII Memorial in Mornington Crescent. It did not list times.
St Pancras Church reported afterwards that about 350 people came to the Camden Civic Service of Remembrance on Sunday 9 November 2025, including the Deputy Lord-Lieutenant for Camden, Roxane Zand, and the Mayor. Leaders from several of the borough’s faith communities take part each year.
Hampstead
Hampstead Parish Church, St John-at-Hampstead on Church Row, has described its practice as laying a wreath at the war memorial outside its gates at the end of its 10.30am Remembrance Sunday service. Friends of the Royal Soldiers’ Daughters School, which stood in Hampstead, lay their own wreath there too. The council’s Armistice Day service is at the separate war memorial by Whitestone Pond, at the top of Heath Street.
Still to be confirmed
- Camden’s 2026 programme and times, likely published in the first week of November.
- Whether the 2026 civic service is again at St Pancras Church. It was there in 2024 and 2025, and in 2018, when the council’s Camden Remembers notice described the same service and procession to Euston.
- Any road closures on Euston Road or Eversholt Street for the procession. Our Camden roadworks page carries street closures as they are posted.
Most Camden churches hold their own Remembrance Sunday services, usually at the normal Sunday morning time. Check your local parish’s website in the week before. Parking rules near the churches are on our parking in Camden page, and the borough’s fireworks, three days earlier on 5 November, are on our Camden fireworks page.
